MAP Furniture Bank provides free furniture and household goods to individuals and families moving from difficult situations, which without help can be emotionally and financially overwhelming. Our work gives these people a better chance at establishing a permanent home. A typical family leaves our warehouse with 10-14 pieces of furniture such as mattresses, box springs, dressers, sofas/couches, chairs, coffee/end tables, lamps, kitchen tables, kitchen chairs, etc.

An appointment is required for every client. MAP offers 15-minute appointments to clients from 9:00am through 3:00pm Monday through Friday, except holidays. Every individual seeking an appointment must be referred by a sponsor or case manager. MAP accepts referrals from over 200 local social service agencies or any local house of worship, such as a church.

Many of the agencies who make referrals to MAP on a frequent basis are listed on our website (www.MAPfurniturebank.org). In addition, an extended list of referring agencies can be found in the Yellow Pages Phone Book under the heading “Social Serv & Welfare Organizations.” It is your responsibility to contact an agency that meets your specific needs in regards to obtaining a sponsorship. Please be advised that specific agencies may have additional requirements that you must meet.

MAP requires a $60 referral fee from the sponsoring organization. MAP requires that the client appointment and furniture be FREE to all clients being served. The $60 referral fee is NOT to be paid by or charged back to you, the client.

Please have an agency representative, such as a case manager, or a pastor contact MAP regarding the referral process and to schedule an appointment. The phone number is (614) 272-9544, Option # 4. The agency or church representative is required to attend the appointment with you. Please be on time for your appointment or you may have to reschedule. All parties who arrive on time will be served first.

You may bring your own truck for delivery and the vehicle must be present at the time of your scheduled appointment. Most deliveries require a large pickup or box truck. Smaller vehicles (cars, vans, SUVs, station wagons, etc.) are seldom large enough to accommodate the items
you need, and/or cannot be safely loaded for travel.

If delivery service is needed, MAP offers a same day curbside delivery ranging from $55 - $70 depending on your zip code. Curbside means our driver will unload the furniture at the curbside, driveway, or parking lot. The driver is not permitted to bring your furniture into your residence. Please have assistance available to move your furniture.  Payment for delivery is required at the time of the appointment and can be paid by either the sponsor or the client. Payment must be in the form of cash, money order, or credit/debit card. MAP is not able to accept personal checks. If you are paying in cash, please provide correct change.

Please bring 1-2 capable helpers with you to your appointment to load your selected furniture into your vehicle or MAP’s delivery truck. A warehouse staff member will be present to assist with challenging items, if needed.
